We live out our lives within a nexus of connections, family, school, church, and community. It is within the community that we encounter our problems with living and it is within community that we find our solutions. Caring for individuals must address not only individual need, but acknowledge and attend to the dynamism between individual lives and their interaction with community institutions.

Grace Counseling Center’s approach to counseling is guided by a deep appreciation for the connectedness of life and for the reality that in critical moments people need a time apart to reflect on both the problems and the opportunities that life brings.The counselors at GCC provide a relationship and an environment that welcomes and supports careful self-reflection on one’s life that can lead to new perspectives on troubling life issues and finding a more productive, satisfying, and spiritually grounded way forward.

What we learn from our work with individuals and families we will return to the community by way of programming that provides education, consultation, and supervision to many of the vitall institutions of the community in order to strengthen their outreach. By strengthening the community through these programs, we leverage our resources and skills to positively impact the lives of people throughout the community in a myriad of ways.

Our commitment to recognizing and caring for the worth of individuals and enhancing the quality of their communal relationships is grounded in and guided by the historic spiritual traditions of the community and the best psychotherapeutic practices available.
